Choosing the right absorbent for your application can be confusing. We can help explain what color to use for different spills:
GRAY is known as
the Universal Absorbent. This will pick up both oil based and water based
spills. This is the best choice for almost any situation. WHITE is for oil-based spills such as gas, diesel and solvents.
COLORS such as yellow or pink (depending on the manufacturer) are for chemical or toxic spills. These spills can be extremely hazardous and should only be cleaned up by someone with proper training and protective equipment.
